3 Worst Mothers Day Gifts
Whether you like your mother or not, mother’s day is a time for telling her how much she is appreciated and giving her a day off from the stresses and strains of doing every task under the sun. Even though it occurs every year, some people still get mother’s day all wrong and buy the most inappropriate presents possible. In order to avoid this happening, here are 3 mother’s day gifts you should not buy under any circumstances
Iron. Even though mothers tend to do ironing on a daily bases, it doesn’t mean that they particularly enjoy it and they certainly don’t want a gift that relates to doing chores. Going for the iron choice will probably leave you with a clip round the ear and in the dog house for a good week. The same can be said for anything that helps with clothes washing or drying.
Cooking Equipment. Much like iron apparatus, any cooking related gifts should be bought with extreme caution. If you buy your mother a new frying pan or potato peeler, chances are it will just remind her of all the work she does in the kitchen and this is not what she wants to be thinking about on her day off. Even if you have a mother who loves spending time in the kitchen, it is still a risky option to go for and it’s likely she would appreciate a night off at a local eatery instead.
RC Helicopter. The only thing worse than buying chore-related gifts is buying things that are quite obviously for yourself. A common mistake for anniversaries, the “we can both use it gift” can be the downfall of any mother’s day as well. Top of the list is a remote control helicopter than very few women on the planet have any interest in. Other such presents include a bowling ball, games console and a new 50inch LED TV that is blatantly for your enjoyment only.
