To assist you , you can regularly note your results and the chemical dosings you carry out.
Don’t Forget to retest the water after the addition of chemicals to ensure you have reached the correct chemical levels.

Remember

* If the water is foggy then it is not safe to swim, bathers cannot see the bottom and may dive into shallow water!
* Swimmers in difficulty under the surface of thewater will not be visible!
* Cloudy water is a sign that there is a problem with the treatment.

Sanitation is the priority reason for using swimming pool chemicals. If not properly treated, a sports pool can become a breeding ground for bacteria and algae. The algae can damage the pool but the bacteria can damage you!

The solution is a sanitiser like Bromine or Chlorine. Make sure that the level is maintained all the time and the level should be monitored and supplemented weekly or when needed. Don’t Forget, if you want to reduce the levels, simply put more water in your pool to reduce the concentration of the chlorine. There are various choices for adding the Chlorine to a pool. Try using slow dissolving tablets in conjunction with a chlorinator or, alternatively, a floater. You may need to be careful that the floater stays in your pool though!

Keeping Things Healthy

Twice a month you also need to dose your pool with additional products to deal with the waste by-products created by the Chlorine, i.e. the sterilised bacteria and algae. Most will, of course, have been removed by your filtration process but some will still be present and decompose creating to unpleasant smells and skin and eye irritation. You will soon know when this is necessary because your water will appear , you can use clarifiers and flocculents to sort this out.

When managing your pool, watch the ph levels. This measures the acidity in your pool. The balance needs to be kept stable to enable the Chlorine to work efficiently. After that, an effective pool filtration system will help you to keep your water clean and healthy. And that is the key to an enjoyable swim every time!
